Pup Genius — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Pup Genius mobile application and related services (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Training Guidance Disclaimer

Pup Genius provides general informational and educational content only. Our AI trainer and courses are not a substitute for professional advice from a licensed veterinarian, certified dog trainer, or animal behaviorist. AI-generated guidance may be incomplete or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for your dog's care, safety, and behavior, and for evaluating whether any suggestion is appropriate for your dog. If your dog shows signs of illness, aggression, or distress, consult a qualified professional. Never use techniques that could harm your dog.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Post content that is abusive, harassing, hateful, harmful to animals, or otherwise objectionable.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
Misuse the AI features, including attempts to extract credentials or abuse service limits.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as community posts and dog profiles). By posting content, you grant Pup Genius a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and use that content solely to operate and improve the App. You are responsible for the content you share.

6. Subscriptions, Credits & Payments

The App offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time credit purchases that unlock premium features, such as the live AI trainer.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings.
Purchases and renewals are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Except where required by law, purchased credits and subscription fees are non-refundable.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its content, design, and software (excluding your user content), is owned by Pup Genius and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including Google (Firebase and Gemini AI) and Apple. Your use of those features may be subject to the respective providers' terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pup Genius and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of the App or reliance on its content, including any harm to you, your dog, or others.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
